Modern Nursery Design with Custom Furniture

This 120 sqft nursery was created for the first child of a vibrant couple. Despite the compact space, the room delivers on every level—function, joy, and imagination. It was a priority to optimize every inch while keeping the layout light, calm, and welcoming.

Concept
The design tells a story of soft mountains, clouds, and playful woodland characters in a gender-neutral palette of grays, yellows, and muted wood tones. A fully custom wallpaper set the tone, while the choice of rounded forms and cozy textures brought balance and warmth. This project demonstrates how small spaces can still be full of big ideas.
Layout
The highlight of this layout is the multifunctional custom-made furniture: a dresser with an integrated changing station and a pull-out bed underneath—perfect for overnight caregivers or future needs. The crib converts into a toddler bed, ensuring longevity. Despite the room’s modest size, each area—changing, sleeping, nursing, and play—was carefully planned to offer practicality and emotional comfort.
Challenge
Short execution time, online-only sourcing, and a limited budget demanded creativity and precision — making this Montessori interior design project in Doral a standout example of smart, soulful design for modern families.
