Modern Interior Design for a Brickell Apartment with Custom Millwork

This interior design project in Brickell, Miami, was developed for a young couple of lawyers seeking a refined yet highly functional space in the heart of the city. The goal was to enhance the apartment’s layout, making it more efficient and cohesive, while integrating part of their existing furniture into the design.

Concept
The design embraces a clean and modern aesthetic with a minimalistic approach, maximizing natural light and visual flow. Custom millwork plays a central role in defining the spaces and providing discreet storage solutions, creating an elevated and organized environment. The choice of materials and colors was guided by timelessness and practicality, reflecting the professional lifestyle of the clients without compromising on comfort and warmth.
Layout
The entrance and den were reimagined through tailored carpentry to optimize transitions and circulation. In the living room, a custom wood panel not only frames the TV but also conceals the master suite door, blending architecture and function seamlessly. The couple’s closet was designed with practicality and visual clarity in mind, while the nursery balances softness and storage, adding a playful yet organized touch to the family space.
Challenge
Working with a compact layout, the challenge was to incorporate all client needs—privacy, storage, beauty, and functionality—without visual overload. The solution came through intelligent spatial planning and custom millwork design that unified the entire apartment into a harmonious, contemporary home.
