Interior Design for The Edge on Brickell Amenities
Brief
The Edge on Brickell is a luxury high-rise residence located on the Miami River in the heart of Brickell. Designed by renowned architect Kobi Karp, this 59-story tower features 119 residential units and over 5,000 square feet dedicated to amenities. Nayara Macedo was selected to lead the full interior design of all common areas and hospitality spaces, including the lobby, fitness center, spa, meeting rooms, pool deck, entertainment lounges, and marina access areas. The goal: to create sophisticated, welcoming spaces that reflect the spirit of Miami luxury living and provide a seamless experience for residents and guests.

Concept
Rooted in biophilic luxury and modern elegance, the design concept blends organic textures with refined architectural details. The circular perforation motif—present in the building façade—inspired a cohesive visual language carried throughout ceilings, wall treatments, and lighting elements. Warm wood tones, brushed gold accents, and ambient lighting contribute to a hospitality experience that feels both elevated and intimate. The design celebrates indoor-outdoor living, maximizing waterfront views and natural light to enhance well-being and connection.

Layout & Highlights
The interior layout was strategically developed to promote intuitive circulation, functional zoning, and visual harmony.
• Lobby: Marble and gold reception desk beneath a sculptural ceiling installation sets the tone for refined arrival.
• Gym & Spa: Water-facing gym and spa areas blend high-performance equipment with serene finishes.
• Meeting & Work Lounges: Two boardrooms with panoramic views provide privacy and productivity.
• Entertainment Spaces: Game room, lounges, and bar areas were planned for both casual gatherings and private events.
• Pool Deck: The waterfront pool area features shaded daybeds, textured walls, and a connection to the marina.
All elements reflect NM DESIGN USA’s commitment to high-end, functional design for lifestyle-driven developments.

Challenge
Designing within a distinctive architectural envelope presented the challenge of integrating strong geometric identities—like the perforated façade—into functional interiors without overpowering the user experience. The solution was to translate the exterior language into sophisticated, tactile expressions inside, maintaining visual continuity while prioritizing comfort, flexibility, and timelessness. Balancing bold aesthetics with practical needs for a diverse clientele was central to the success of this amenity-focused interior design project in Miami.
