Urban Oceanview Retreat at Icon Brickell
Brief
This interior design project was developed for a young single man seeking a sophisticated lifestyle in the heart of Miami. The challenge: transform the space into an urban oasis that reflected his minimalist personality while maximizing the stunning views of Biscayne Bay. The final result delivers modern comfort, timeless elegance, and a seamless integration between architecture and ocean—all within one of the most iconic buildings in Brickell.

A peaceful, masculine retreat in the heart of Brickell—where elegance meets the ocean, and every detail feels intentional.
Concept
The design approach focused on visual serenity and refined comfort. Inspired by the client’s request for a space that felt like a retreat, we used neutral tones, natural textures, and custom woodwork to create a clean yet warm atmosphere. The ocean served as a constant muse, with each design decision enhancing the panoramic views from every room. Large mirrors reflect the horizon, while soft finishes and sculptural pieces add an understated elegance—typical of high-end Miami interiors.
Design Features
Living Room
A warm wood accent wall contrasts with neutral furnishings, grounded by a large custom mirror that visually extends the space and mirrors the bay. Floating cabinetry enhances flow and modernity.
Dining & Kitchen
The dining area features a sculptural wood table and elegant upholstered chairs that harmonize with the integrated kitchen. Sleek appliances, expressive finishes, and open sightlines elevate everyday routines.
Bedrooms
Layered in linen and organic textures, both bedrooms embrace a soft, natural palette. The master suite centers on a framed ocean view, with the bed oriented toward the glass façade.
Balcony & Views
Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors erase the boundary between interior and exterior, offering an immersive waterfront experience from every angle.
Challenges & Solutions
The layout remained untouched, so design solutions had to be intelligent and fluid. A floating millwork panel with integrated storage streamlined the living area, while the placement of a floor-to-ceiling mirror behind the sofa created an illusion of depth and brought the ocean indoors. In the master bedroom, the bed was oriented to face the water, ensuring the client wakes to uninterrupted views of the bay. Lighting, furniture, and styling were all chosen to prioritize both calm and functionality.
