Morar Mais Design Showcase

Rio de Janeiro, 2011

This nursery was part of the Morar Mais Por Menos design showcase in Rio de Janeiro, where Nayara Macedo presented Brazil’s first multifunctional twin crib. The innovative piece was awarded as the “Most Creative Space” of the exhibition and went on to inspire furniture manufacturers across the country.

Created with a focus on smart space planning and child development, the room design features vibrant colors, interactive elements, and custom millwork tailored to twin babies. The space includes sleeping, changing, and bathing areas—all within a joyful, well-zoned layout that fosters autonomy and comfort.

Concept

The twin nursery design embraced emotional design principles with handmade decor, modular furniture, and a creative atmosphere. The room was envisioned as a safe, imaginative world that could grow with the children—combining play, function, and visual identity.
