Brief
This 367 sqm apartment located in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, was fully renovated to welcome a young Brazilian family who values comfort, style, and functionality. The client’s main goal was to transform the space into a cozy and versatile home, ideal for family moments and entertaining guests.

The design reflects a warm and modern aesthetic, combining natural materials and custom joinery with contemporary Brazilian elements. The neutral palette was enriched with wood tones and soft textures to create a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere. Inspired by the family’s lifestyle, the project focused on creating open spaces with smooth flow, balancing privacy and conviviality.
A key highlight of the project was the creation of a gourmet balcony with a built-in barbecue, fridge, and bar — a perfect spot to gather, cook, and enjoy the stunning mountain view. The family room was designed as a cozy retreat with layered lighting and a custom media unit, while the bedrooms feature serene palettes and functional custom furniture.
